Happy Ending : Team Spirit

Happy Ending : Team Spirit
We had a team of 5 members. We could have divided the team into smaller groups and broken down the tasks. But, we realised that we could achieve the objectives by working together. Besides, our aim was to HAVE FUN and PLAY TOGETHER. So we decided to do the searching the clues together. And we are happy we decided to do it that way. Because - we finished in time and we all had good fun!

Our team spirit is obvious from the video below - we believe in UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL!

The above pictures simply summarise the kind of fun we had and the learning experience put together was fabulous!

Clue 6 : SBG Clock

Clue 6 : SBG Clock

This location too was yet another challenge. We google-d on the web about the clock and found some clues about it. The clock was found at the Visitor center. We took a few photos there. It appears to be of historic importance, from the oldie-oldie look and the woody-woody feel. Guess thats why its still standing there.

Clue 5 : Wood : BandStand

Clue 5 : Wood : BandStand

This was another difficult location to find. We actually asked a receptionist at the Green Pavillion and she informed us that since we are from Cycle and Carriage and on a treasure hunt, she will not reveal much to us! :P By the way, we did not want to ask here where the Bandstand was, but wanted to know What the Bandstand was. In any case, she kept tight lipped and did not reveal anything to us. [Ray did a good job in cautioning her!]
Ok, then we used the brochure to find more about this. This is the place where the bands used to play in the past, though not anymore.

Clue 4 : Earth : Dinosaur Foot Print

Clue 4 : Earth : Dinosaur Foot Print

We did not manage to guess this easily in the beginning. Then we found a connection between Evolution and Dinosaurs. So, we headed towards the Evolution Garden. And we think we found the foot prints there. It was a big puddle of water in the form of a foot print. It was surrounded by small hills.

Charles climbed over the small hill and managed to take a good shot of the girls.

While, Rose managed to take a neat shot of the 2 guys who had climbed up the small mound.

Clue 3 : Metal : SBG MRT Gate

Clue 3 : Metal : SBG MRT Gate

This was the most difficult location. Rosemary had to walk a "lot". We wished a taxi would pick us up.

The SBG MRT is a new entity on the Singapore land map. It came into the being just this year. Definitely a first time stepping at this MRT for all of us. After a long walk from the Evolution Garden along the Cluny park road, we finally sort of exited the SBG and were on the road. About 300 meters away from there, and we reached the MRT entrance. We found the metal gate that stood there very majestic and royal. The team had a 'lets-climb-it' feeling. Er.. but we didn't do it. We found a stranger, who helped to take a shot of it with us.

On the way, we saw Red Kia car illegally parked at the Cluny road junction. We will be informing the LTA later today. Look at the picture below - does it look familiar?! :)

By the way, we also saw some people jay-walking - see below. [Its the team members minus Alex] Understand that they have to pay $20 fine! ;P

Clue 2 : Water : Under the Waterfall

Clue 2 : Water : Under the WaterFall

The next point was the Waterfall. Situated just 5 mins away from the bustling Orchard Road was the waterfall. The garden is a lush sanctuary in the heart of the city. The waterfall was located right near the Orchid Garden. (The above notes was copied from the brochure :) )

Clue 1 : FIRE : Sun Garden Sculptures

Clue 1 : FIRE : Sun Garden Sculptures

We had a good walk in th garden and there was no rain. The weather was clear. Alex was happy. Siti was enjoying. Rose was clicking away photos. Charles was browsing through the map and trying to figure out where the clues where. Mala was monitoring all of them and closely watching the time and also tweeting back to #itbp on the progress updates.
Then came the Sun Garden.
The above is the sculpture of a man giving water to the child.
We think that is the sun garden sculpture.

Introducing the Heroes of the Team

Introducing the Heroes of the Team

The Team 5 Members 1. Siti 2. Charles 3. Alex 4. Rosemary 5. Mala

Charles was our GPS Hero - Guided us throughout the walk by looking at the map.
Rosemary was our PhotoGrapher - She stunned us by taking exotic shots of the various clue locations.
Alex was our Technical Expert - he connected all our gadgets together and got them talking in a jiffy! The ipad could talk to the iphone, the iphone was talking to the camera. It was great.
Siti was being the Support guide - she kept our spirits up by telling that every location is nearby.
Mala was the Time keeper and kept tweeting back to the Ray.
